I have spent the last few days really thinking on this email and what I wanted to say, what I need to do. I have talked with teachers and students, read the CDC recommendations and those of Yoga Alliance. For now, we plan to keep the studio open to the best of our ability.
While some of our teachers are cancelling classes to stay home with their families, other teachers felt that times of stress and fear is when we need to dig deep into our practice, and they have decided to continue to teach. As a studio owner, I want to honor and respect both of those decisions.
We are adding the CDC recommended cleaning and sanitizing efforts to all the props, and other hard surfaces around the studio. Shared props are going to be the biggest issue, so if you plan to come to class and have the ability, we encourage you to bring your own props. For those who plan to stay home for the immediate future, we are working hard to get some online resources up to help you continue your practice at home. Those should be on the website as early as Sunday evening, and will be updated throughout the weeks that come.
Please, if you feel ill or feel you may have been exposed, please stay home and use the free online resources we will be providing. Please, check the website for the most up-to-date information and class schedules. We will continue to monitor the situation and will not hesitate to cancel all classes if it becomes necessary, but for now, we are open.
Sending you all so much love,
